There are two Varieties of Standing Liberty Quarters. Variety 1 has the right breast exposed. And Variety 2 has it covered. All 1916 and some 1917 Standing Liberty Quarters are of the Variety 1. Some 1917 and the remaining years are of the Variety 2 design. Public disapproval from the breast being exposed initiated the change to be made from Variety 1 to Variety 2. Nicely struck Standing Liberty Quarters will show 3 details of Miss. Liberty in her head. 1 Hair line goes from brow down to the shoulder. 2 all three leave from temple showing 3 Ear hole visible. Full Head designation can increase the Standing Liberty Quarter Value substantially. Key dates for Standing Liberty Quarters are 1918-S 8 over 7, 1927-S.
