Draped Bust Half dollar has to different reverse designs. 1796-1797 has a Small Eagle on the reverse and the 1801-1807 has a larger eagle standing behind a shield and is called Heraldic Eagle. As with many early silver coins many have weak strikes and attention should be taken to find good strike examples. On the obverse compare hair and stars and on the reverse compare breast of Small Eagle or the line details on the shield and the stars and clouds for the Heraldic Eagle.
